You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app. A daycare's owner can also close
the whole daycare there.
In the app
- Sign in, open the menu (☰) and tap Get help.
- Tap Delete my account. Owners see Delete my account or close this daycare.
- Read what will be deleted and what is kept, type DELETE, and confirm.
Nothing happens for 7 days. If you change your mind, sign in during that time and tap
Cancel the deletion.
If you can't sign in
Email noreply@regina-montessori.com from the address on your account, with
"Delete my account" in the subject. We confirm it is you, then delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Parents: your login, your name and email address, your link to your children, your
messages with the daycare, pickup alerts, absence notes and notification settings.
- Staff and owners: your login and email address, your access to children, staff
conversations, devices and notification settings.
- A closed daycare: every login, the daily log, stories and photos, messages,
announcements, menus and events.
What is kept, and for how long
Child-care law requires a daycare to keep certain records after a child leaves or a person stops working
there. These are kept, and then deleted when their keeping period ends:
- children's records, attendance, incidents, illness and medication records and fire drills;
- staff records such as hours worked, checks and training, with the staff member's name on them.
When a daycare closes, these records are kept for at least 6 years, longer where the law
requires it, and then deleted. A parent's child's records belong to the daycare and stay with it.
After something is deleted from the live system, a copy may remain in our encrypted
backups until those backups expire on their own schedule (within 7 days).
